KÜHL Revel Hoody Product Review

As winter came to a close, I was really looking forward to trying out the Revel Hoody. I can honestly say I was not disappointed.

The Revel Hoody is a lightweight sweater capable of being men's outerwear on a dry but cool day, or perfectly at home as a mid layer when the weather turns really cold or wet, a definite possibility during spring/summer here in the UK!

What I Love

The Kashmira fabric offers an amazing warmth-to-weight ratio, feels really soft against your skin, and actually molds to your body with repeated wear. Another great benefit of the revolutionary fabric is its ability to resist pet hair and lint - very helpful when you have two dogs!

Little Dip

The Revel Hoody was designed to keep you comfortable no matter what the conditions. The pockets open upwards to make them more comfortable when used as hand warmers; this innovative design keeps the zipper from digging into your wrists. The pocket design, full-length zip for temperature control, and large hood line with micro suede make the sweater very versatile.

With quick dry technology, you aren’t left worrying you’re going stay soaking wet if caught out by the rain…or by your dog splashing when you're sitting next to a river.

HappyDog

The Revel Hoody is fitted yet comfortable. I’m 6'1, and the medium fit well. The hoody transitioned easily from a performance piece to a casual sweater to relax in at the end of the day.

My Peeves

The material, though very comfortable, isn’t as rugged as I would prefer for an outer layer when in the mountains. This is a purely a personal preference, and I have to remind myself that it's a fleece so I shouldn’t expect reinforced shoulders and elbows.

Making the Grade

The Revel Hoody earns an A+. Retailing at $99, it's a brilliant light layer for short walks or runs, with or without four-legged companions. When weather turns bad or for more adventurous routes on colder days, it can comfortably be paired with a hardier outer shell.

I received KÜHL apparel for this review at no cost. I received no other compensation for this post, and all opinions are my own.
