I love your products, Kuhl is my first stop when I'm looking for new hiking clothes. I had my wife get me the Interceptr fleece for Christmas. The look and feel were great but after just a handful of times out on the mountain and a delicate wash and hang dry the embroidery on the back of arms was coming loose and the jacket looked a year old not 2 weeks old. I returned for a refund at REI.
REPLY FROM KÜHL®: Thanks for reaching out to Kuhl and for leaving your review on the Interceptr. We will contact you promptly on this matter. MB

The old one is much better. It’s longer. The thumb holes are better, and you can put it in the dryer. Plus it had inside pockets. I’d by the old one again in a heartbeat. This one, probably not.

I found one of these fleeces at a retail store, but they had very poor selection and sizing. I did manage to find one there that fit fairly was as a medium, but I wanted to try a large out so I ordered online... the thing is, both were so nice I ended up keeping both. First on the design - I absolutely love the design of these jackets. I love how they feel, I love how they look, I love having four pockets, I love how they fit. All of these factors were a big reason why I wanted to have two of them anyway. About the fit - I am fairly tall and thin, with long arms (35-36" sleeve) and a fairly slim torso. For me the medium like I said, actually fit OK - seemingly just long enough in the arms, and pretty snug around my torso. The large size gives a bit of extra length to the arms, but just a little - it has a bit more volume around the torso, being a bit roomier. I find it very curious the sleeve lengths seem so close, as usually for jackets I need to have a large to extra-large size for the sleeves to feel right. The reason I kept both was that I plan to treat the medium size more as an underlayer on top of which I'll have another jacket, whereas the large size is more of a causal jacket to wear as an outer layer. On environmental factors - the jacket is warm but not really wind-proof, as I would not expect a fleece to be anyway. If you will be somewhere cold and windy maybe pair this with a thin windproof shell and you'll be nice and warm.

This is an update to my prior April 5th review, and sadly, I have to knock it down a few stars. To be fair, Kuhl customer service has been great as usual and very responsive. I may have gotten a lemon, and I am returning this, but wanted to post my actual usage review for others. I am a Kuhl super-fan, and a casual hiker/outdoors person, The new-style stitching and the way the cuffs and multiple fabric panels attach are stretching out, the jersey (Kashmira?) sweatshirt panels around the cuffs are starting to pill, and not wearing well after a few short months--that is in addition to the not-very-comfortable new thumb-loop design. The stitching is decorative, and looks great, but both the seams and the jersey panels are more likely to snag or pick out if you brush up against anything rough (i.e.: pretty much any outdoor climbing/hiking activity near plants or rocks). For the price, I expected this garment to be very durable like everything else I own from Kuhl. If you want a great-looking fleece that is more form over function, this is a nice product. But if you want both form and function, you may want to consider a different design.

Lovely fabric , trendy cut and fit
The zipper is of very poor quality, doesn't connect properly, otherwise a nice item.
Have this in a few colors as I love it so much. The fit is more athletic and fitted, but not tight. Material is warm enough to wear alone out on a chilly night - or layered under a jacket if you are spending your day out on the snowy slopes. Soft fleece, doesn't pill - long-lasting materials used. Love the side panel material, they breath and allow your arms some air to reduce sweating. I have been wearing one of my Interceptrs for over 2 years now and it looks like new. Get one!
This is a high quality fleece jacket and I love the lines of it. It is European sizing so if you have a thicker build, size up by one. I loved my husbands jacket so much on me, that I kept it and got him a larger size in the brick/black combo. Love it!
Fleece is worn under coat as extra layer. The styling is great, and the material is soft. Only complaint is that the cuffs are a bit too tight.
Active and quality minded.
