The KÜHL AIRSPEED™ LS Shirt is a game changer. Hot sun, high humidity, and stifling air are no match for KÜHL's collection of AIRSPEED™ shirts with AirVolution™ fabric. AirVolution™ is a woven, technical nylon/poly blend that blocks the sun's harmful UV rays, wicks moisture and dries quickly. It feels like cotton against the skin but boasts all the performance of polyester.
The AIRSPEED LS™ features a button-down collar, button front, adjustable cuff and 2 button-down chest pockets. A zippered security pocket is hidden inside the shirt at the chest, and a built-in custom sunglass cleaner is sewn inside the bottom left placket.

The combination of performance and jersey cotton materials makes this shirt a top competitor in the market. I use this shirt for all my adventures. It's comfort, protection, performance, and features are hard to beat. I am young, and just out of college, but this piece has the fit and cut to flatter anyone, in any age group. Try and you'll love it.

I just turned 67, and having been an outdoorsman all my life, the inevitable first diagnosis of skin cancer has come. It's all treatable, but I really needed to focus on protecting my arms from the sun. An internet search led me to Kuhl, and my first order for the new Airspeed. I live in Texas, so I was dreading having to wear long sleeves during our brutal summers. I was surprised to learn that these shirts are very comfortable in 95 plus degree heat. I also noticed that a lite sweat does not render them unwearable for another day or two. With cotton, one sweaty afternoon sent my shirts to the laundry. They are the most comfortable shirts I've owned, and the built in UV protection makes them a double bonus. My wife loves them, and my son, a mountaineer in Colorado, also commented on their look. I now own five different colors. I'm looking forward to this winter, and wearing them with a tee shirt.
REPLY FROM KÜHL®: Thank you for the excellent details in your review. Yes, skin cancer is part of our design considerations here at KUHL and we take it seriously. Good luck to you in monitoring your skin for the small, irregular, multicolored spots that grow to be larger then a pencil eraser in diameter...and many years of pleasure wearing the Airspeed!

Almost perfection. Close enough that I'm going to buy more. The sizing chart is crazy off. I'm 6'3" tall and my chest is 44 but my waist is 34 and the biggest problem is my arm length so I require at least an extra large if I want long sleeve(which I do). So the net one I get is going to be xxl and see if it's a little roomier. Pretty tight in the arms also (and I'm not a very buff guy). But still pretty awesome. Perfect to keep that darn sun off of me and stay cool at the same time.
REPLY FROM KÜHL®: Thanks for your comments. We will be using your feedback to send to both design and work on the size guide. Cheers.

I bought this shirt to use an a grueling hike on Kauai. This was the perfect shirt for Hawaii's warm and humid weather. I did find the buttons difficult to use; however, after using this shirt for backpacking a few times I have to say that Kuhl did it right. These rubber buttons don't break, they hold securely, and the fact that they bend and give means that they don't poke into you when wedged against objects. I needed to carry another hiker's pack on my front side for several miles and 9 river crossings- after completing that hike I realized that those little rubber buttons held up, and didn't poke into me. The venting on this shirt is incredible and worked great for keeping me cool. I treated those front zippered security pockets like extra vents, anytime a breeze would kick up I'd face into it and hold open those pockets. I found the sunglasses wipe to be a cleaver idea but useless because it's too small. I combined this shirt with the Konfidant Air pants and that is the perfect warm and humid weather combo. Excellent job Kuhl!

First, I agree 100% about the small rubber buttons. Very difficult to deal with. Second, you're marketing this shirt as an outdoor shirt, right? Everything about screams outdoors...except the buttons. For example, I'm hiking and the wind comes up, or the sun is beating down, first thing I want to do is to easily turn up the collar to protect my neck. A button down collar makes no sense. Or I'm catching fish with my hands...need to roll up my sleeves, the 3 buttons at the sleeves make no sense. There are 20 buttons on this shirt, a third of them have no use in the outdoors or inhibit real-world use. Terrific shirt, but you should re-think how it will actually be used outdoors.

I agree with another reviewer about the buttons. Why so small and why rubber? Very difficult to easily button and unbutton, particularly in the field or when hot and sweaty.

This is my sixth Kuhl long-sleeved shirt. Truly like the style, shaped stiching designs,etc.. It is very comfortable to wear, but warmer than I expected. The small rubber buttons are not easy to manage in a hurry because the button holes seem too small to me. I hope you guys will double the size of the sunglasses cloth to make it more useable. I liked this shirt enough to buy one more.

Great shirt for hot weather, specially under the sun.
great but for the buttons
I purchased this shirt for use outdoors in a warm climate. The reviews I read were true all across as this shirt is fantastic. Extremely comfortable and fits well. I am 6'2", 165lbs, and the Medium works great on my frame. I'll be looking for another one when stock comes in.
Great styling but runs small. I have to purchase an XXL.
New favorite shirt - I'm - 46 long and the XL fit great! - rarity in the outdoor clothing world - besides the fit, the build is awesome
