My favorite pair\ of Pants

4/5

This is easily my favorite pair of pants that I own. At first I was horrified by the way the color faded and changed with age, but after a few months, they settled into a great looking pair of pants that matured like a fine wine .?.?. Anyways, my only complaint is that I've had to have them repaired twice while overseas. The fabric started to seperate from itself around the back right pocket after about 6 months of wear. I believe this was probably from my pack rubbing on them over time. Luckily, I was in Cambodia where a good fix cost about $1. Unfortunately, it happened again in the same general area 8 months later during a trip to China. I'll get them fixed again, because I love the pants so much... just wish they were a little more rugged. As a note, in Cambodia I was wearing the pants through some pretty rough conditions, so a little wear and tear is not outrageous.

Excellent pants

Fit: True to Size

So I was little hesitant to spend the money on these but they are EXCELLENT. I normally wear a 32 but went up to a 33 for these and they fit perfectly. Probably going to be a little to thick of fabric to wear in the summer here (mn) but they will work great for the other 300 days out of the year!! Phenomenal pants for working in the garage, chopping wood, drinking beer, or anything else!!

Great fit

Fit: True to Size

These are one of my favourite Kuhl pants. They have a flap of material beneath the front button that seems to help with the fit. I find them comfortable for all times of year in mountains. I have a winter pair that is one size larger so I can get long johns on below and a summer pair that I wear until the temps hit 30 deg C.

great pants

Fit: True to Size

I don't like how they fade out In the black color. Makes them look dirty all the time. other than that they're great pair of pants.

Fit: True to Size

I think the previous reviewer was referring to waist size not length. I like the sound of these pants, but won't buy any pants that don't come in a 35" waist. [I noticed my mistake as well. Thanks Max. Please consider the Rydr or Revolvr. Call for the best service on these sizes. ~ Kuhl Social Media

I want these in odd sizes!

5/5
Fit: True to Size

When will these be available in odd sizes? I love Kuhl pants, but the 32s are too small and the 34s are too big. [Please consider a tailor to hem the 34" pant. Not ideal, but odd sizes await the carefully planned growth of our independently owned and financed company!~ Kuhl)

I also would love to try these pants however your sizes won't fit me. Is/can there be an option at this point in your company growth to get custom sizes? The ideal size for me would be 33 waist and 34 length, however I could live with 34 waist 34 length. Thank you for your consideration. [See the comments below. Those sizes are available in the Rydr and Revolvr!~Kuhl Social Media]

Hemmed up

Fit: True to Size

So I'd be glad to hem up 34" inseams, but I actually need 34" length. 32" X 34" shouldn't be all that difficult, but noooo they only come in 32" [Sometimes our website does not accurately report our inventory, so please consider calling customer service as you sizes are not at "all that difficult" and we should be able to find you them! Thanks! ~ Kuhl Social Media

Sizes?

5/5
Fit: True to Size

I agree with the other review on size issues. 32 to small and 34 to big. How about odd sizes? I have some capri style shorts and have to wear a belt or they will fall off. [Thanks for checking out the Outlaw! You might want to look at the Rydr and the Revolvr for a size 33. Calling customer service may be your best bet to get those sizes as inventory won't show when we go below 5 units. ~ Kuhl Social Media]

I second that

5/5
Fit: True to Size

I wanted to confirm the other review.. 32 is to small and 34 is too big. Also 34 length is about an inch too short, unhemmed would be a great option! Thanks! [For Odd Sized Waists- Try the Rydr and the Revolvr! The Rydr would be an fair match to the Outlaw. The Revolvr is lighter weight. For 36" inseams as well! ~Kuhl Social Media]

Great pants but could they be a bit longer for the 6'2" and taller crowd? Thanks! fabric weight

Fit: True to Size

It would be nice to know the fabric weight in ounces, per the industry standard i.e. patagonia shop pants are made with 10 oz cotton canvas etc.

I am going to introduce them to him. He is bedind the camera and in front of the camera a lot. He produces a weekly hunting show on American Sportsman.

Very nice material; tough and soft. Great style of cut. Good color.

Imported on January 08th 2014

All Kühl pants have a gusseted crotch, articulated legs, and are cut generously in the thigh. We refer to this as our signature Athletik Fit, a foundation of Kühl’s pant designs for unconstricted movement.

The Law: Heavyweight canvas fabric. Doubled fabric in thigh and seat. Good work pant for colder temperatures.
Rebel Runner: Another very heavyweight pant. Same material as the Rydr (98% cotton 2% spandex), but the fabric is doubled up in the thigh and the seat for added durability. Great for Fall and Winter use outdoors. Features a zippered hip pocket.
Gunslinger: Narrow cut in the leg, heavyweight dobby cotton fabric.
Rydr: Our best-selling fall/winter pant. 2% spandex for some freedom of movement. Kühl’s "classic" pant.
Riot Denim: Crosshatch premium denim with suede-lined waistband. A true denim fabric. Available in 2 washes – enzyme wash (more faded looking – Riot Denim) and cold water wash (less faded looking -Riot Raw).
Kovert: 100% combed micro-twill cotton with stretch panels on knees and rear yoke for added mobility.
Outkast: Medium weight basic canvas pants. Articulation is built into the design rather than having the darted knees like all the other pants have.
Crag Kanvas: 100% combed cotton canvas pant with a very relaxed fit.
Exile Kord: Cord-like cotton pants. Has stealth, slit-like cell phone pocket. Casual, good versatility for work/play.
Outlaw: Heavier-weight 11 oz. soft cotton fabric (much like the Slackr and Desperado) with a little less stretch (2% spandex).
D’Lux: Our most luxurious pant. Wundura soft fabric (97% cotton 3% spandex) with a suede-lined waistband. Leaner leg cut.
Desperado: Super soft feel on the outside. 97% cotton, 3% spandex like the slackr. Same fabric as the slackr, but different styling on the pockets.
Slackr: much like a "chino" pant, but with lots of stretch. Classic angled pockets. Lighter weight fabric than most of our cotton pants due to the 3% spandex.
Revolvr: Lightweight nylon/cotton blend. Quick dry, fits nice and relaxed to accommodate freedom of movement.
Outrage: Very lightweight cotton/nylon blend fabric - good for warmer temperatures. Leaner leg cut.
Kühl Jean: Same fabric as the outrage, but with a more generous fit. Great for warmer temperatures.
Liberator convertible: convertible hiking pants. Lightweight, quick dry with a stealthy zip off system.
Renegade pant: 4-way stretch nylon pant. Very lightweight, great for hot weather and vigorous outdoor activity.
Raptr pant: Lightweight 2 way stretch nylon/spandex pant good for backpacking and general outdoor activity in warmer temperatures.
Kontra Air: Vented lightweight cotton/nylon pant - great for hot weather temperatures. Tapered cut.
Kontra Pant: More casual version of the Kontra Air. No vents – same fabric, slightly fuller fit.
Radikl: Cotton/nylon lightweight pant with ‘exoskeleton’ stretch panels built into the frame of the pant. Klassik fit – not too tight, not too relaxed!
Renegade Jean: Same lightweight nylon/spandex fabric as the renegade pant, but has a more casual styling for great transition from out- of-doors to out-on the town. The seat and thigh are on this pant is slightly more fitted than on the renegade pant.

Technology

Born Free Gusseted Crotch ™

Born Free Gusseted Crotch ™

The Born Free Gusseted Crotch is an added fabric panel inserted in the pant leg and crotch area. It adds extension to the range of motion for the pant. This design element aids hikers in crag hopping and climbers in pulling off bouldering maneuvers.

Free Ryde Waist

Free Ryde Waist

Another hallmark of Kühl design, this feature incorporates the Kühl Yoke Waistband –it follows the natural contour of the human body. The hips rise in the back and so should your pant! The Free Ryde Waist provides a contour fit to keep the pant in place as you move! The Free Ryde Waist also has a longer length from belt top to crotch for extra room to extend your range during crag hops and bouldering maneuvers.

Fiocchi™ Snap

Fiocchi™ Snap

These imported Italian snaps found on our pants lay flat against the body with no stem to dig into your waist. The Kühl Fiocchi™ Snap has been custom engineered to increase the closure strength.

Gussets

Gussets

A fabric panel insert for added strength or expansion. Commonly used at seams. Kühl uses gussets placed at the crotch, shoulders, and underarms. Garments with these features deliver better range of motion. Legs extend further; arms raise and reach without being impeded or pulling on the garment.

Articulation

Articulation

The art of joining things in such a way that motion is possible. Where the knee bends, the elbow crooks, and the shoulders join the trunk and arms, articulated construction builds movement into the design. This includes gusseted panels (shoulders) and darts –on knees and elbows, darts gather the fabric to articulate those body parts’ natural range of motion.

WUNDURA™

WUNDURA™

Incredible combed cotton twill is finely woven with a high thread count and stretch. Add a super sueded finish and you've got WUNDURA™. It's a super fabric.
