Great pant

5/5

Got these for Christmas from my wife after picking them out on the site. I had a pair of Kuhl jeans and liked them so much I wanted another couple of pairs so I got the Slackr and Ryder. The jeans are the Athletic fit and I wanted to stick with that fit so I got the Slackr and Ryder. Love both of them. Slackr is very comfortable and I use them for work or just hanging out. The weight is good for the southeast. I got the carbon color and am very happy with it. Bottom line, love the pants will be ordering more from Kuhl.

Khaki isn't khaki

5/5
Fit: True to Size

I ordered these pants after getting a different style pant at the local Outdoor Provision store, as they carried only a couple of styles. I love the fit and feel of the pant. I am perplexed by some of the color descriptions, as I feel they are misleading. The color Khaki in several different styles is actually a green shade, not a light tan as you normally expect and as it appears on the website. I looked for a pant in a true khaki color, but have realized they just don't come in that color. [True. You're right. We wish we could change that name or the fabric color for everyone's sake. Truth is, KUHL insists on the accuracy of the name Khaki to a pantone (color swatch system) that has green in it. The story is that Khaki is the color of the dusty green British Army uniform that turned tan in the Indian continent. ~KUHL]

Nice pants

4/5
Fit: True to Size

I love the look of these pants. My only problem with them is the cell phone pocket. I'm 5'7" and wear a 30" inseam. When I put my cell phone in the pocket its so low that the phone strikes almost below the back of my knee. This doesn't seem to be as big of a problem on the heavier weight pants like the Rydr, but its much more noticeable on these and the other light weight ones I've tried. Its probably not a big deal if you are wearing 32" inseam or longer though. [It could be that the length of the 30" inseam is a bit long and is hitting your leg in the wrong place. Unfortunately, that is the size inseam we have that would best fit your size. Not sure why it's different in the Rydr or heavier weight pants, though. Thanks for the feedback! ~ KUHL]

Run large

4/5
Fit: Fits Large

Nice pants. After trying multiple styles of Kuhl pants, these seem to run larger in the waist. Also, as was mentioned in another review - the khaki color is very inconsistent between pant styles. I got a pair of these in Khaki and they are more of what I think you'd call gun metal, a few shades darker than the khaki in my Revolvrs. The dark brown color is very nice though.

Fit: True to Size

I love these pants. I'm 6'4" and 270lbs and it's not easy to find pants that fit properly. I have a pair of the carbon Slackrs and they haven't faded a bit. I'm on the site to buy a backup pair (since I can't ever find them in the stores) and a couple of other colors. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Bought a pair over a year ago and am buying more now. Feel light in the summer heat and warm enough in the cold. Stains wash out and no fading in dozens of washes.

Fit: Fits Large

I bought these pants at REI. They are indeed very comfortable, but are a little bit longer than expected. Anyway, I had them shortened and they fit very well and are extremely comfortable. On the other hand, after a couple of washes, the color starts fading and they really look much older than they should: I wore them maybe 10 times and washed them 4 times, and they look like they have been washed 50 times. I have also noticed the same thing with some Kuhl kaki shorts that I bought a few years ago (surprisingly not with the same shorts in brown), so I suspect that the dying process may not be optimal. Too bad, I wish Kuhl would fix that.

Excellent for professional attire

5/5
Fit: True to Size

I wear these pants for sales calls and presentations. Because they don't have the Kuhl logos and are stylish enough, I can use them for professional work attire. I have Rydr's, Revolvers, Crag Kanvas, etc. and love all my Kuhl pants - I just wish they would make a few more like the Slackr including a few more colors so we can have more options for business casual work attire. Go Kuhl!

Great pants. Great customer service

5/5
Fit: True to Size

I have owned my first pair of Slackrs for just about 5 months. They are my everyday workpants. I also own 3 pairs of Rydrs and wear them to work on a regular basis. The slackr is a lighter weight version of the Rydr and super comfortable without the weight and stiffness of the Rydr. I unexpectedly tore out the seat of the Slackr pants while struggling with a hard to handle dog in our clinic. I am a slim 32/34 fit and the pants in no way were too tight. After posting a review with concerns about durability Kuhl immediately contacted me and replaced the pants because of concerns that it was a faulty item. Way too go Kuhl. I keep coming back to your products because of the style and quality.

smaller waist sized needed!

Fit: True to Size

When will Kuhl make their paints available in smaller waist inseams? A 28in. or 29in. waist inseam would allow some of us skinny folk to buy your paints! A 28 in. waist and 30 or 32 inch length is pretty common combination.

"Patina Dyed" = "Fades quickly"

5/5
Fit: True to Size

This is the best fitting, most comfortable pair of pants I have ever owned. The only downside is that after less than 10 washes (according to instructions), these pants have faded well beyond their original color. Yes, they say that will happen. But it doesn't make it look cool and vintage, it makes it look like old worn-out pants. "Vintage Patina-Dyed" is nothing but clever marketing for "Cheaply dyed, rapidly-fading pants." [I believe you have a return/repair issue that will quickly be remedied by our customer service department. Our dye process may have failed on your Slakr pant. While it is certainly designed to fade and weather, what you describe sounds like it may have been defective.~ Kuhl Social Media] "Hey, Iâ??m pretty impressed with your response! Thanks a lot, Iâ??ll consider whether or not to exchange the pants and Iâ??ll definitely be a repeat customer!" ~ Paul

I found my first pair of Kuhl Ryders while I was at Jackson Hole, WY attending a meeting in the Grand Teton NP. I liked them enough that I bought a pair of Revolvers, and then the Slackers arrived under the tree for Christmas. Wore the Slackers across country in my 2500 mile road odyssey back home to the east coast- very comfortable!

Slackr Pant Way Kuhl

5/5
Fit: True to Size

Just received my Slackr pants and they are outstanding! Styling is very kuhl and can be worn equally well at work, late night carousing or chopping wood! Other positive is that they come in odd sizes (33, 35) so you can get a pair that really fits. Only downside is the front snap which is way cumbersome - a basic snap would be preferred. Also how about a light bone or sand color for summer wear? Enjoy!

Reviews from REI.COM of Slackr pant: Slackr aint no Slacker!

5/5
Fit: True to Size

Comments about Kuhl Slackr Pants - Men's 34" Inseam: I am hard to fit. I am 6' 5" tall and have been a runner all my life. I have long legs with big thighs that don't fit any clothes. I had some extra time and tried these 40x34 on as a whim. I bought them on the spot. They had no more in stock at the REI in Charlotte, so I went home and bought more online. They fit my thighs and have a little stretch that makes little things like climbing stairs less binding. --By SSGPat from Charlotte, NC

I bought these because I was looking for something to wear to work. The Rydrs were just a little casual at times. These do the trick. They're a much softer and stretchier material. I'm not sure I'd call the color kahki but they still look good.

Good first imppression, the pants seem very comfortable and the little bit of elastic is a nice touch. I havent really tested them out yet but will be traveling in them for a trip in the near future. Its great that they have 36 inch length not easy to find in comparable products. Thanks to Kuhl for making great products and having an easy process to get them.

Everyday pants. I would not use them for hard physical ranch hand work. This is my second pair. My first pair was torn against a sharp edge of a airplane seat. Cell phones fall out of the left pocket, so the cell phone pocket must be used.

Just like Kuhl says this product is perfect for the athletic guy. Being a superintendent for a contruction company I'm up, down, kneeling and these allow me to do my job without ripping my pants. I love companies that put a lot of great thought and design into their products and this is one of them.

Would recommend for slightly cool to moderate warm temps. No good for the cold obviously because these are too thin, but they look good for outdoor pants, and can be worn a little more broadly, perhaps to work depending upon what a person does. Nice design and most importantly, good fit at the described sizes.

I have owned a pair of Kuhl Slackr pants for about two years and they are still going strong. They are some of the most comfortable and durable pants I have owned. They are equally comfortable on the trail as they are kicking around town or lounging at the house. I have enjoyed the first pair so much, I just bought three more just in case Kuhl stops making them. I highly recommend these pants to anyone that appreciates comfort and durability, as well as fashion.
