Nice looking but flawed design

2/5

Love Kuhl products...practically the only thing I wear. This shirt, however, seems a bit short and tight. I can still wear it but barely. The pockets are my biggest complaint. They are far too small to be practical. Putting eyeglasses in them is out of the question. Also, while this fabric is wonderful in the winter shirts, it seems a bit steamy for a summer shirt.

REPLY FROM KUHL: Thanks for the feedback. We will forward this comment to design. Most people find the Force to be superior in summer. In fact, we just returned from a week in Glacier National Park and this shirt was a key piece to hike with. It dries quickly as well.

Fit: True to Size

This shirt is perfect for hot days. I spend a lot of time in the sun and I have not felt uncomfortable wearing the Force. I have also worn this shirt on many rock climbing adventures and it performs well under pressure. Highly recommend it! The blue is a killer color.

Very Nice

Fit: True to Size

I like this shirt quite a bit - it fits well (size M, 165lb/6'1"), the fabric feels wonderful and is almost weightless, and - as expected - the shirt is nice and cool in the summer. I would have given this shirt a 5/5 if it were not for one shortcoming. In daily wear, I found that the shirt was picked up discolored spots that didn't seem to go away. I did a simple test with plain old tap water and found that if a portion of the shirt gets wet, it will dry a slightly different color than the rest of the fabric of the shirt. It looks like a regular wet spot, but doesn't go away when the water dries. This discoloration is temporary, and "reset" by laundering, but I didn't like the fact that I have to be paranoid about not getting splashed (which is unfortunate, given that the majority of my summer work is done in close proximity to Lake Michigan). That having been said, I've only had experience with one example of this shirt (which I later returned for an unrelated reason), so I may have just been unlucky and gotten a bad one.

Great shirt

Fit: True to Size

Simply love this shirt with Aerosoft fabric. It's a classic polo with performance ability... I plan to pack this on trips as dual duty shirt for casual about town and then the ability to work out in it. So airy it will feel great on a run. Wicks and super fast dry times. Washes in the sink or just a rinse and hang dry. Want one more.

Excellent shirt. Love it. The M size fits just right on my 5'7" 180lb frame.

Shirt was exactly like I anticipated--already have it in another color and would highly recommend it as a travel companion! Packs nicely and looks great.

The size i got is a little too big for me but it was all that was available. I like the shirt but an XL kind of looks like a bed sheet on me

Technology

Tencel®

Tencel®

Tencel® is a biodegradable fabric made from wood pulp cellulose. The fabric drapes beautifully and has an incredibly soft hand. Tencel® is good for travel because it packs light and retains its shape. Tencel® also dries quickly, so drip-drying it may not take long. Tencel breathes well and is more absorbent than cotton--it absorbs excess liquid and quickly releases it again into the atmosphere. Tencel® is a good choice for people with sensitive skin.

UPF

UPF

The Ultraviolet Protection Factor (or “UPF”) rating system measures the UV protection provided by fabric. It is very similar to the SPF rating system used for sunscreens. A fabric rated UPF 30 is blocking 96.7% UV; UPF of 50 blocks 98% of the UV radiation. Skin cancer risk can be reduced with effectively limiting the amount of exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet light spectrum.

AeroSoft™

AeroSoft™

AeroSoft™ is an environmentally friendly fabric manufactured with no harmful chemicals. It dries four times faster than cotton, with a soft and natural touch, plus anti-static and odor neutralizing properties. This means AeroSoft™ gives you revolutionary performance and incredibly softness against your skin.
