The Kuhl Bandita Convertible pant goes into the hall of fame for pant design. You get your mountain town style plus function. Instead of form following function, our design sets them on equal terms. A sleek, stylish pant cleverly hides its three-in-one utility. For the serious backpacker, no worries. This pant packs performance features to go but with elegant style.
- Pants convert quickly and easily to shorts/capris with leg zippers; zippers won't snag and are hidden from view for a great look
- 3 in 1-- Zip off legs for Capri, rolls up from Capri for shorts, full pant
- Capri inseam 18”, short inseam 11”
- Fabric: DRYPOINT™ 1). 77% Nylon /23% Cotton 2). 84% Poly 16% Spandex
- Combed, peached, super sueded for softness
- Fabric weight: 1). 7.4 oz per sq. yd; 250 GSM 2). 4 oz. per sq. yd., 137 GSM
- Fabric blend places cotton on the outside and nylon next to skin; soft cotton pulls moisture away from the nylon, bringing it to the surface where it can evaporate
- Bandita convertible pants feature Kuhl Rhino Technology, which places rugged exterior non-stretch fabrics on top of soft, stretchy fabric for excellent durability and skin like flexibility for natural stretch and comfort
- Rhino Technology is used in high-mobility areas, such as the back waistband and the knees

- UPF 40 achieved through mechanically spun yarn
- Easy-care: wash and wear

Love these pants!
I love these pants! The material is comfortable, and unlike many other convertible pants, they do not rub or constrict! They fit perfectly for me. They are lightweight and all-around very comfortable! I am looking forward to hiking the Michigan Shore-to-Shore and then the John Muir Trail in these pants! I sent back the Kuhl Kaya Convertible pant because it was beyond uncomfortable and it rubbed along the zip-off point, but I am in love with these Bandita Convertible pants! Definitely worth the money!

I have hiked through mountains/woods and washed these pants several times and they held up very well. They have enough stretch for comfort, are cool when the sun breaks through, and very comfortable. Only thing I would add is a zipper pocket somewhere....maybe one of the legs for added security for items. The button-only pockets made me a little nervous.

Technology
UPF
The Ultraviolet Protection Factor (or “UPF”) rating system measures the UV protection provided by fabric. It is very similar to the SPF rating system used for sunscreens. A fabric rated UPF 30 is blocking 96.7% UV; UPF of 50 blocks 98% of the UV radiation. Skin cancer risk can be reduced with effectively limiting the amount of exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet light spectrum.
DRYPOINT™
Being dry is the point. UPF 40 and super quick dry, this Nylon rich fabric with a touch of Cotton on the face for added breathability and komfort, pulls moisture to the surface for speedy evaporation.
RHINO TECHNOLOGY™
Kühl’s Rhino Technology™ is tough armor like fabric on the outside and skin-like flexible fabric on the inside giving a natural stretch for freedom of movement and comfort.
