With summer official underway, this mama is getting her daily dose of Vitamin D. Early morning trail runs to beat the heat. Evening trips to the pool to wear the girls out. Weekend hikes to swimming holes and waterfalls.
There’s nothing better than a summer day spent soaking up the sun. Pair it with beautiful threads and things heat up even more. When I’m not praying my bikini withstands another sprint session chasing my kids at the pool, you’ll often find me wearing my beloved women’s sundresses.
When the occasion calls for something with a little more form and function, I’m all about tanks that serve double duty. Perfect for the sultry south, my favorite tanks have built-in shelf bras that give me enough support to scramble up the trail or playground while keeping me cool and collected.
Stella Tank Product Review
When KÜHL sent me the Stella Tank, I couldn’t wait to test it out. I received the Stella Tank in Amethyst Print, size XS. Like all of my performance apparel from KÜHL, the Stella Tank met my expectations.
This tank withstood the salt & sea of the Caribbean, dirt & sweat on family hikes, and s’mores & more on an overnight camping trip.
What I Love
Super Soft Fabric
Made with organic cotton, Promodal, and spandex, the Stella Tank is a super soft knit blend. Even after several washes, the fabric holds its shape and color, while remaining luxuriously soft. The tropical print pattern is perfect for summer fun. Pair this tank with a skirt or capris, and you’re all set for a picnic or party.
Built-In Support
As a small-chested woman, I love dresses and tanks with built-in bras simply because I don’t have to deal with a bra. The Stella Tank is designed with a built-in shelf bra and can be worn on its own.
Fashion and Form
The Stella Tank is designed with a strappy racerback, slight shearing at the waist, and side panels for form and comfort. I love the racerback design. The criss-cross straps are great for showing off strong shoulders and arms. The side panels provide more shape to the tank, emphasizing the natural waist and fitting nicely.
What I Didn’t Love
Even though I received an XS, the overall fit was a little big for me, especially around the bust. I needed a little more support from this tank, especially for activities like hiking. Easy enough to remedy, I pair the tank with one of my go-to Handful Bras when I need more support.
Making the Grade
Retailing at $49, the Stella Tank earns a B+. Supremely soft, comfortable, and cute, it’s perfect for casual women’s summer wear. As a standalone performance tank, it doesn’t quite make the grade for medium impact activities or beyond. With a more supportive shelf bra, I’d award this tank extra credit.
I received KÜHL apparel at no cost. I received no other compensation for this review, and all opinions are my own.
