RECCO® rescue reflectors.
In case of an emergency, the RECCO reflector will make you searchable to rescue workers equipped with RECCO detectors. RECCO reflectors in KÜHL apparel are lightweight, passive transponders which require no power or activation to function.
Since the 1980s, RECCO has equipped over 2000 Search and Rescue organizations around the world with detectors used to locate persons in the event of an avalanche or missing persons report. Since launching, more than 200 global apparel and equipment manufacturers have incorporated RECCO reflectors into consumer products.
For the first time in North America, RECCO has been incorporated into summer-specific apparel, exclusively through KÜHL.
New in 2019, RECCO has debuted SAR helicopter detectors, used to scan large areas at high speeds, to locate a missing person in the outdoors. The RECCO SAR helicopter detectors were initially released in Europe in 2015 and are now operative in the Alps, North America, and Scandinavia. Additional regions are being added each year.
