Kuhl large tops are cut perfectly for a trim/medium build 6'2" person (175-180lbs). Perfect sleeve length, body length/width. I am little worried about the coiled/dynamic stiching - it seems like a soft thread that is easily snagged/pulled. but so far one of my Kuhl favs....

Alloy has become my favorite layering shirt for fall and winter riding. On cool, grey autumn days I can throw this over a long or short sleeve shirt and be good to go. It provides some cover against the Midwestern wind but is still lightweight and breathable. For nighttime winter rides I put a turtleneck under this and wear a thin fleece on top. It works brilliantly. I stay warm while avoiding the bulky feel of a winter jacket. The thumbholes mean that I can put on a pair of lobster gloves without worrying about my sleeves riding up and exposing my wrists to the cold. It does feel a bit big on me. Then again, I'm a lanky guy. The comfort is excellent. I wear this at least once a week in the cooler seasons. It looks great, too.

As with every other article clothing that I have purchased from Kuhl the alloy is absolutely amazing. This long sleeve is super soft, smooth and allows for great layering. It is a little bit thinner than the Ryzer. I went and bought two more the same day my first one arrived.

Couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Alloy pullover. I purchased the graphite color through REI. I wear it about 3 days a week with a t-shirt underneath so I have not experienced any smell issue. In fact I have had this shirt for over one month now and have yet to wash it as it still looks new. Love the material it is made of.

I really wanted to like this and the Racer I bought. It looks very sharp. But it's polyester which doesn't breathe like wool. So you heat up and get clammy and in my case start to smell. The Racer I bought is also a M but is way bigger than the Alloy. It's frustrating when a company can't be consistent in sizes.
REPLY FROM KÜHL®: Polyester is famously rugged and yes, it does not have the same properties of odor natural odor control that wool has like the RACR sweater. Your particular odor problem will not be the case for the general public. It's well known that in cases of long trips traveling and traveling light, washing styles made of polyester is a necessity compared to wool. In your case, we suggest you purchase a style you love in wool. Also, you might like to look at our wool/poly blends. They have the best of both properties and will help fight odor for you. Your comments on sizes across styles are noted.
