Forget causing a stir.
KÜHL’s latest pant is so flattering, you’re certain to start a riot.

KÜHL Riot Pant Review

Kuhl Riot Pant in Faded Denim

When I received the new Riot Pant, I couldn’t wait to see if KÜHL’s twist on jeans delivered the same comfort, quality, and style I’ve come to expect from KÜHL women's pants.

Not only did the Riot Pant exceed my expectations, they quickly became my go-to wardrobe choice.

Paired with KÜHL's Klara Flannel or Vega Henley, the Riot Pant is perfect for errands and casual outings. Dressed up with boots and the Lea Reversible Sweater, they’re ready for a night out.

Featuring Jacquard stretch woven fabric, KÜHLKURVE fit, and triple needle stitching, the Riot Pant is a beautifully designed pant you’ll wear day and night.

What I Love

Soft, Stretchy Fabric

Constructed of Jacquard stretch woven, the Riot Pant looks like a jean but feels like your favorite sweats. The cotton/polyester/spandex blend stretches for a flattering fit and crisp look.

The Riot Pant is fitted through the hips and upper thigh but looser through the lower leg. The straight fit and 15” bottom leg opening are perfect for booties, chunky heels, or your favorite running kicks.

I’d love to see a skinny version of these pants. A tight fit through the ankle would pair great with flats or boots.

The Riot Pant is true to size, but you might want to consider ordering a size down as the fabric stretches with wear.

Available in Faded Denim and dark Indigo, you can pair these pants with any and every color.

No Digging

Designed with KÜHL’s Italian snap closure, the Riot Pant doesn’t dig into your stomach. I might even break my cardinal rule of no buttons/snaps when traveling and wear the Riot Pant on my next cross-country flight.

Who knows? The step up from yoga pants to the Riot Pant might land me an upgrade. Or at least some extra peanuts.

KÜHLKURVE Fit

Like many athletic women, I have a hard time finding pants that fit both my waist and legs. If pants fit my waist, they’re too tight in the thigh. If they fit my quads, they’re too big in the waist and create an unseemly gap in the back.

KÜHLKURVE combines a midrise front and higher-hugging back that eliminates the dreaded gap.

Attention to Detail

Triple needle stitching reinforces seams. Deep front pockets provide ample room for keys or cash. Thick belt loops, decorative rivets, and stylish back pockets add extra flair.

With the Riot Pant, KÜHL successfully blends all of their performance features with a chic design to create a comfortable, classy alternative to denim.

What I Didn't Love

Many KÜHL women's hiking pants feature an internal drawstring for a custom fit. With the stretchy fabric, great fit, and belt loops, the drawstring is an unnecessary extra on the Riot Pant. Because I don’t use it, I’ll trim the drawstring.

Making the Grade

Made to fit, flatter, stretch, and recover, the Riot Pant earns an A+. I’m stingy with grading, but with little to fault, the Riot Pant earns top marks.

Perfect for day or night, these pants perform ‘round the clock. Retailing at $85, the Riot Pant is comparably priced to women's designer jeans and a worthy investment for your wardrobe.

I received KÜHL apparel for this review at no cost. I received no other compensation for this post, and all opinions are my own.
