Springin’ into Action with KÜHL Mova Skinny and Mova Kapri Pants

Spring has arrived. Wildflowers frame the trails. Waterfalls roar through the woods. Flip flops make their triumphant return. At least they do in my house. Yes, it’s time to schedule the season’s first pedicure and trade out sweaters and cords for lighter women's attire.

KÜHL Mova Pant Review

When KÜHL sent me their new Mova Skinny and Mova Kapri pants to review, I instantly knew they’d be the perfect addition to my spring wardrobe. Featuring KÜHL's innovative KONTOUR fabric, pop stitching and five-pocket jean styling, the Mova pants combine form and fashion. I put these pants through the paces. From terminal to trailhead and summit to s’mores, the Mova Skinny and Mova Kapri are designed to move with you.

What I Love

Soft, Stretchy Fabric

Constructed of KONTOUR, a durable, stretchy nylon knit, Mova pants hold their shape while flattering yours. The full-length Mova Skinny Pant features a fitted leg and is a more substantial alternate to traditional women's leggings. The Mova Kapri is fitted through the hips and upper thigh and looser through the lower leg. The bottom cut hits just below the knee and has a side slit.
I’d love to see a version of the Kapri that is fitted through the lower leg. It would make for great trail running.

Internal Drawstring & Contoured Waistband

The internal drawstring gives you a custom fit, and the stretchy waistband makes for easy on and off. The contoured, buttonless style is perfect for travel, especially on long flights or car rides.

KUHLCURVE Fit

KÜHL’s midrise front and higher-hugging back makes for a comfortable fit. You can breathe easy knowing these pants will bend, stretch, and reach with you while keeping you covered from all angles. Paired with the Veloce Short Sleeve and Vega Long Sleeve Henley, I never had to worry about an unsightly gap between the bottom of my shirt hem and the top of the Mova pants.

Easy Wash & Wear

Quick drying and wrinkle-resistant, Mova pants are the perfect, easy care option for travel and sport. Even after multiple washes, the fabric holds its color and shape.

What I Didn’t Love

At 5’5, the 30.5” regular inseam on the Mova Skinny pant was a bit long for me. Bunched at the bottom, the pants don’t fit well under boots or taller shoes. Thankfully they look and work fine with my favorite flip flops. The Mova pants are offered in a variety of solid and heathered colors. I received the Mova Kapri in Dark Heather. I loved the color when browsing online, but the solid colors are a little more flattering and forgiving in person.

Making the Grade

Supremely comfortable, beautifully designed, and ready for performance or casual wear, both the Mova Skinny and Mova Kapri earn an A.
