The KÜHL M'S ARKTIK DOWN PARKA features waxed body fabric that withstands rain and snow and is peached for a soft hand. Italian faux leather micro suede trim creates a distinctive look and reinforces stress points. The responsibly sourced (certified non-force-fed/not ‘live-plucked’) 800-fill goose down provides a superior warmth-to-weight ratio.
The removable faux fur hood brim is reinforced with flexible wire, while cord lock adjustments at the hood opening and tension-lock at back hood provide a custom fit. When you don’t need it, the signature 5-panel hood lays flat. The Dani KÜHL crest patch on left sleeve and unique high gauge stitching add style. Webbing detail provides snap reinforcement, and extended inner cuffs with KÜHL signature thumb loops seal out cold.

Bougth my Parka some days ago and luckily for that. The weather i Denmark right now is like being in Siberia, but the Parka keeps me warm. Added to that the design is just excellent. I`m 76 and I guess that the Parka could last the rest of my life. BUT, can anyone tell me what it means "add more wax for greater water repellancy". What kind of wax, how muck and how often ? and what it means " less wax for better breathability". The lucky dane

This is my second winter with this parka. I live in Minneapolis and tonight i found the only flaw this coat has; it's too bloody warm. With temperatures in the low 20s and a mild wind, wearing only a t-shirt underneath, i was sweating after a jaunt through 6 city blocks of snow. the only disappointing thing about this parka is that i can't sport it more often.

I live in New York City and I bought this park for a winter trip to Iceland. I endured with this parka n below zero temperatures, strong winds, snow and rain. The parka outperformed on each situation keeping me warm and dry. Below the park I wore a T-shirt and a Kühl fleece jacket. Never cold! I’m 6’1” / 210 lbs and it fits perfect! I’m buying one for my wife who is disappointed with her Northface parka.

I'll get the cons / recommendations out of the way first since there are so few: 1. The cord locks for the hood are next to useless - the angle at which the cord comes down and through allows it to be shaken loose very easily while just walking around. I spent $2 on some plastic cord locks to add and the issue was fixed. 2. The outer snap pockets don't really expand - helps keep the coat looking sleek, just not conducive to carrying around thicker gloves / scarf. Now the PROS: 1. This parka is clearly made with high quality materials - it slides right on over layers, feels substantial and durable, and of course looks amazing. 2. fantastically warm: with a light fleece layer underneath, I can brave the Chicago lakefront in 0 degree weather with no problem. The outer material makes me oblivious to wind, and the well insulated hood + fur liner keep me nice and toasty 3. the thumbhole cuffs, while a little tight on my thicker hands, are a great touch and help eliminate any gaps that would allow cold air in around your wrists. Sizing note: I'm 5'8, 190 (34" waist, 42" chest) and wear a medium.

The Parka is great. It is super warm and well made. There are a lot of little details that go into making the product special. It looks great as well. I should point out that my experience with Kuhl in that past is that size tend to run a bit small. I went up to the XL and it was a good choice especially for a super cold weather garment where you would want the option to layer. This jacket is a favorite for me.
My new favorite coat, now if only we can stop climate change so it gets cold enough for me to wear it! I purchased this for my trip to Iceland and I would reccomend it to anyone who lives in cold weather areas. The quality and attention to detail is amazing
Nice and warm winter coat, as advertised. Love using it
