I replaced a North Face waterproof shell with the KUHL Deflectr Hybrid Shell. The KUHL shell has much better design attributes that keep me drier than the NF. I bought the Deflektr Hybrid Shell as my new work rain coat and the rain season is kicking off in Oklahoma. It arrived yesterday JUST in time for the massive downpour to start my work day. The best over all layer. When I have to work out side in the drizzle is the perfect barrier to stay dry.

Love this jacket! Its my go to for more extreme conditions like snow sports, mountaineering or rough inclimate weather. I have been using the jacket for mostly Mountain Biking and trail work. It is extremely comfortable and fits great for my size 5’10” 200lbs. With room for base layers if needed. I especially like the hood brims ability to be molded to my needs.

Water proof. Comfortable to wear in an urban environment . Clean profile. Folds up and packs well. Only downside, the hood hides too much.

On most under the arm vents I wish they were at a bit of a slant. Closer to the front at top and closer to the back at bottom. They are always hard for me to do with one hand. I am not very flexable though.
