Almost the perfect pair of pants
I've been wearing mostly nothing but KUHL pants for the last several years - they're well made, durable, fairly priced, and fit me perfectly. The Renegade Rock have been my go-to and I was psyched to see the Renegade Recon for all the features I loved on the Rock (minus the cuff cinches, which I rarely used) with the addition of a larger zippered front pocket instead of the smaller ventilation pockets on the thighs. What makes these a little less than perfect for me is the lack of a zippered rear right pocket, which seems a little odd since these are specifically geared towards being a travel/hiking hybrid pant, and a zippered wallet pocket (which the Rock has) seems like it'd be a natural feature. The back pockets on the Rock seem a little shallower than the ones on the Renegade as well. Still a great pair of pants - hope Kuhl adds a zippered back pocket to future design to make them even better.
