Absolutely LOVE this jacket.
This jacket is so nice. The outer material is superb, the fit and feel is very cozy and warm. I sized up to an XL and I am so glad I did. The large would have worked fine, but layering would have been limited. I was worried though that sizing up would look bulky and less feminine but I couldn’t have been more wrong, the waist cinch is more than perfect to accommodate a size up and make the coat look amazing. I have broad and muscular shoulders and arms and I am certain the L would have made that area uncomfortable. I originally purchased a L in the Ukon parka and the shoulder area was a bit tight and the arms were too short for me at 5’10”. I have very long arms and legs. This coat has the roll down ability on the sleeves with is a must for me. Although I actually found the sleeves to be just fine rolled up a bit when I wore the coat all day for the first time. I own the Dani Sherpa in a large and that is my favorite lightweight coat ever, but I have to keep the sleeves rolled down. I read reviews about the pockets being almost too deep, but for me with my long arms they are a dream come true. I have to say though that even I have to reach a bit to get to the bottom, but it works great for me. One thing I was not expecting though was to feel cold in mid 30 degree weather. I only had on one long sleeve, medium thickness layer and I was chilly being outside. That said, if I had layered properly I think I would have been much warmer, but if I had ordered my usual size L, multiple layers would have certainly made the coat too tight and uncomfortable. So I would say if you will be outside in 35 degrees or lower for extended time periods, you may want to size up in order to really layer. I would consider buying this coat in another color which is kind of crazy at this price but I absolutely LOVE this parka. I bought the blackout and even then it has this very subtle yet super cool almost two tone because of the various fabric. Such a beautiful coat!

I bought this parka last winter and can say it’s the warmest jacket you will ever need for the winter. Depending on the weather you can put it on a T-shirt and still stay warm. The wind does not get to your body.
